BabyBoyorBabyGirl.com and the Android app. Last updated 15 September 2026.
Who we are
BabyBoyorBabyGirl is an entertainment site and Android app. A parent can upload an ultrasound for a playful boy-or-girl peek, keep bump notes, share a scan with friends, and ask questions that we may publish as articles. It is not a clinic and not a medical test.

Who the app is for
The app is for adults (18+) who are expecting, or supporting someone who is. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Fetal ultrasound photos are uploaded by the parent, not by a child.
What we collect
- Photos you choose: ultrasound prints or gallery pictures for a peek, and optional photos for future-baby / grow-up / maternity looks.
- Optional bump notes you type on this device: name, due date, journal lines.
- Questions you send to the question box. We write an article and may publish it on the public blog.
- Share-party data: a scan you attach, friends’ boy/girl guesses, and name votes.
- Plus payments: handled by PayPal. We see that a payment succeeded. We do not store your card number.
- Basic technical data needed to run the site (IP address in server logs, cookies for PayPal return, language preference).
Photos, camera and gallery
On the website and in the Android app you can upload from your gallery or take a photo of a print. Camera and storage access are only used when you tap those buttons. Photos are sent to our servers so we can run the peek or look you asked for. We use xAI’s image and language services to analyse or generate pictures. Do not upload photos of other people’s children without their permission.
How we use it
To give you the peek, looks, week notes, share party, blog article, and Plus subscription you asked for. To keep the site working and safe. We do not sell your photos or personal details. We do not use your ultrasound to train ads.
Who we share with
- xAI — to read a scan or generate a look / article.
- PayPal — if you buy Plus (£6.99 / 30 days).
- Hosting for the site and database (including any cloud host we use to keep share rooms and published articles).
- Friends you invite to a share link — they see the scan you attached and the vote tallies, not your sealed peek result.
- The public, if you submit a question: the article can appear on the blog.
What stays on your phone
Due date, display name, journal, language, last look, and whether Plus is active are stored in this browser / app on your device. Clearing site data removes them.
How long we keep it
Share-party scans and votes until the room is no longer needed, or you ask us to delete them. Published blog articles stay public unless you ask us to take one down. Server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service. PayPal keeps its own payment records under its policy.
Your choices
Email us to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to delete a share room or a blog article that started from your question. You can refuse camera permission; gallery upload still works. You can use the site without Plus; the first peek stays free.
Android app
The Play app (package com.babyboyorbabygirl.app) opens this website full-screen. It may request camera permission so you can photograph a print. Internet access is required. The same privacy rules apply.
Cookies
We use cookies or similar storage so the site remembers language and Plus, and so PayPal can return you after checkout. We do not run advertising trackers.
International processing
Providers such as xAI and PayPal may process data outside the UK. We use them only to provide the features you request.
Not medical advice
Results, looks, folklore quizzes, lunar charts and star signs are entertainment. Sexing belongs with your sonographer or NIPT. Nothing here is a diagnosis.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
